Q&A with Shane Karolyi, Realtor® Sales Associate
Q: Professional Insights:
A: (Tell us about your position at NKREG and what you like most about your position) I love building relationships with clients to help them find the exact home they are looking for. As a local in Mullica Hill I enjoy being part of a team that gives back so much to the community. With a background in education and counseling, being able to coach and support people through the home buying and selling process is one of the greatest “jobs” in the world!
Q: Words that describe you:
A: Empathetic, Driven, Generous
Q: Things that make you smile:
A: Spending time with my wife and daughter. Golfing (not saying I am great!) My church and community of friends.
Q: If you could be on the cover of any magazine, which one and what would the headline read?
A: Bloomberg Businessweek: Redefining the Real Estate Agent.
Q: Fairly useless but unique skill or trick?
A: I was my high school and college mascot. Lol.
Q: Most interesting and fairly useless fact you’ve heard about anything?
A: On average, within a week the average person forgets 90% of the information they learned.
Q: Goofy and guilty pleasure of yours?
A: I love me a good yard sale.
Q: Favorite quote? Why?
A: “Whether you think you can or you can’t – you’re right.” I believe we tell ourselves “no” or “I cannot” too often and too quickly. What would your life look like if you started yes “Yes I can and I will.”
Q: Favorite food? Why?
A: Sushi. It’s a food I refused to try for the first 20 years of my life. I have so much lost time to make up for!
Q: Favorite book? Why?
A: The Bible. It’s the roadmap for how I go through life.
Q: Favorite movie? Why?
A: Toy Story (1 and 2). Watching them again years later reminded me of the importance of having a strong community around you, believing in yourself, and being part of something bigger than yourself.
Q: Future aspiration?
A: My vision for life is to be a director or vice president of training and development at a large organization like Marriott or for real estate sales agents. I want to be behind developing strong culture and best practices in an industry that has global reach and impact.
