The Showings Must Go On – How We’re Practicing Safety While Selling Homes

How We’re Practicing Safety While Selling Homes

Governor Murphy considers Real Estate Services as essential business. We are Department of Banking, retail services. We are providing a valuable service to the public. The Showings Must Go On but everyone must practice Safety First.

Our hearts go out to everyone that has been impacted by this pandemic. Aside from our staff working diligently from home, here’s what we’re doing to keep safe. We will get through this!

Our Open House Procedures

There are a lot of unknowns, and your health and safety is our #1 Priority. The Real Estate Market is still going strong, there are still many people who want to buy and sell homes.

We are taking all precautions necessary and know that the open house procedure we have in place will allow people to see homes safely, and allow our sellers to clean and disinfect after the open house one time instead of several times per day.

We have created the following procedures for our open houses to ensure all of our clients receive the help and care they need:

1. Gloves:
When our agent arrives at the property, they will put on a fresh pair of gloves.  They will go through the home and turn on all of the lights and open all doors (basement, bathroom, bedrooms, closets, etc.) They will be wearing gloves the entire duration of the Open House.

Agents will have all doors opened and all lights on.

2. Do Not Touch

Clients will be given gloves and booties to cover their shoes and asked NOT to touch ANY surfaces in the home.

Guests are asked not to touch anything in the home.

3.Wait Your Turn

Agents will ensure that only one or two people are in the home at a time. Others will be asked to stay in their cars until it is their turn. Our agents will invite people into the property on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Please wait patiently in your car until it is your turn.

4. Children Must Stay Out

We love children. We all know that children are curious and love to touch a lot of things. We cannot take any chances and are asking that no children go inside the property.  Parents who do not have childcare can take turns touring the home while the other waits in the car with the kids.

Please make other arrangements for your children or take turns waiting in the car with them.
